. This pot is a clay body called Mountain Black with a touch of porcelain mixed in giving it a slightly umber tone. Note the edges remain very dark as nice contrast. Of course this pot has it's own 'glaze' of natural earth. As all my pots this is totally hand made with out the aid of forms or dies/tools are simply knife and paddles etc. The vertical score marks on the inside are something I saw on certain Japanese pots supposedly to keep the roots from circumnavigating the pot. Well I dunno but it is a nice finish touch. Start at $65 + $15 for shipping ends July 19th Midnight for Saturday ship UPS only now! I can see a fine Juniperus or Pinus specie in this little gem!
