California juniper in the (almost) tropics

Is this kept on the ground? Around me, which is far away from you so I dont know if we have the same termites as you, the termites live in the dirt and forage in wood. In order to protect houses they inject various termiteicides into the soil around the foundation. A little rescherch into...

Hey @grouper52 I remember the discussion we had about a haiku I was working on. It was really helpful clarifying my thoughts. Thank you for that, you helped me out and I really appreciate that. I also really enjoyed your "crowd sourced" literati thread. Thanks for the ideas. You made a...

    Acer palmatum

Look on the fungicide label, you should find a group number. Every fungicide with the same number acts on the fungus in the same way. Even if you use 10 different brands or active ingredients if the group number is the same you are not really rotating. The idea behind rotating is that if a...

    pesticides/fungicides constantly needed?

You shouldn't ever just spray stuff. That being said, of you know every year you or people around you have a problem with x, then being proactive is the best course. This requires knowlage of both your anticipated pest, and the chemistry your going to use.

I used quasar on my trees this spring to protect against borers, and as an upshot the boxes are covered with dead beatles and the leaves are minimaly eaten.

Shout out to a few fans.

He may go out of his way to be provocative, but i would take his offer serously. I bet anyone taking him up would get good, constructive and disheartening feedback. If i had anything worth critiquing i would jump. Here is an example...

    Are you a Parrot?

Reading this thread, all i can say is that one of my metrics for people is whether they're more bothered by what is said or how its said. If you are more bothered by someone parroting good advice than you are by another person giving crappy first hand advice, your priorites are fucked

    How often do you Daconil????

Not exactly, HO is an oxidizer. It oxidizes organic material, not just bacteria. Your skin is relatively impermeable, while the mucus membrane of your mouth is relatively permeable. Thats why it fizes more in your mouth. I guarantee your thigh is covered in as much or more bacteria than your...

    A couple projects for Smoke...

Thats interesting, that you view systemics as a preventative. Where i am familiar, turf farming, i use protectants as a preventitive, and systemics as a curative. Well, to be precise i use them both as a preventative. When i see disease i spray, and expect it to protect the healthy plants and...

@Smoke do you ever use propiconizole? I like it because it is a systemic. At the very bottom of this link they mention propiconizole and mancazeb. Both products im familiar with, but not on trees.

Hoping someone w/ Daconil(imidacloprid) and/or Bayer's 3-in-1 pesticides could be kind enough to give me the instructions...

This is usually my first stop looking for label info: http://www.cdms.net/Label-Database Generally the google search -"brand name" label- will pop up at the very least a specimen label. And daconil is not imidicloprid.
