Here is my Juniper I received on Saturday. There were some trainers that helped a little with how to go about it, but I think it turned out pretty good. I only wired the one limb.
I wasn't being funny about it. I ment that it was said that it takes awhile to grow. I get it. But to help it grow do you use fertilizer? That's all I was curious about. Serious question. The guy who has it gives it plant food, that's why I was asking.
I have a bigger juniper coming, but I have the option of receiving a very young bristle pinecone. Any tips on this guy for caring? Its maybe 2-3 months old.
Sorry I missed this, he is 14 months. Nickname is Jax
Also, did some looking around. Settled on growing an oak inside until it gets decent in height, then moving it outside. Good place to start with seeds and supplies you guy suggest?
Rewarding is what I'm after. The guy next door has seeds left and I asked him what kind they are and he said Bristlecone pine. From the searching I did that is a desert type bonsai. I am open to starting a outside bonsai. I am looking at the dawn redwood. Thanks for the advice.
Thanks for your reply. I was hoping to start from a seed and pass down to my son. As for outside, it is cold here in Minnesota still. I was going to keep it in our spare room which faces the southern sun.
Looking at starting a bonsai from a seed. Looking for a light set up. The neighbor uses an led growing lamp and his seedlings are decent size. Does anyone else have insight on the path to choose starting out?
