I have just received the tree from a friend. I understand it is too late re-pot. He "supposedly" got the tree from a grower from Japan. I do agree the tree is a bit week, but it has come back quit a bit from where he had it. I also shall remove the guy wire. My location is (Asheville NC).

Someone help me choose a new pot?!?! It is in a 12.5in plastic growing pot. I was thinking a nice drum pot would work.

I am currently taking plant biology and microbiology to better understand the health of my trees.

Let the wood harden, possibly next year? This way the following year when you trim the new grow it will fores new branching to occur.

Early to mid spring is when I remove azalea cuttings out of the ground, in order to give them enough time to bounce back from the stress of being uprooted.

I have a few JBP seedlings (just sprouted a few days ago). Anyway I was just wondering how old should they be before I do their first wiring?
