Insecticide use on Boxwood and Holly Trees

Thanks MM. I soaked them in Malathion yesterday. It's raining today so hopefully the pot that seemed to have the most got a good dose of it before the rain washed it out. I just cannot seem to catch a break with all this rain.

    Austrian pine- Oregon green

It's coming along. Great work on this tree. I have 2 but not of this cultivar and my needles are alot longer. Thinking I should have passed on these trees, but if I can't get needles to reduce, in the ground they go at the new house for landscaping trees

    My Mugo

I've done some soil analysis on the nursery soil. Seems to be alot of pine bark chips in it. I've let this grow for the last year but all I got was long internodes and terminal buds.

    My Mugo

Full sun, it's in a napa floor dry soil, and I water it whenever it needs it, but here lately there hasn't been much need for that, it's been raining almost everyday. Please don't tell me you see a problem with the tree. I can keep them alive in a nursery pot, it's just when I repot they die...

    My Mugo

I'm trying a mugo pine again, this time in Missouri. I have not had much success at reporting these. I repotted this 2 weeks ago so we will see. Today I cut the bottom and top needles off and wired some branches. I have a couple of options with this tree. I can remove the 2nd trunk and rebuild...

    Pinus Nigra Hornibrookianna

Oso I'm talking about this cultivar. The needles will shorten up but not enough, doesn't mean I won't try. Under all that foliage there are some pretty good branches.

    Pinus Nigra Hornibrookianna

They are just something to play with. I know they will never make great bonsai, but practice and document, that's the way I learn.

    Pinus Nigra Hornibrookianna

I have 2 of these pines that i purchased this spring. They are still in their nursery pots and im just letting them grow. They are so bushy you cant even see the trunk, but i will wait until fall to do anything. Im taking advantage of every needle i can get for photosystensis right now. Its been...

    Tree ID Please

Im just going to water it and see if it lives. If i get new growth i will start fertilizing it. If it survives i will just let it grow out for a year maybe 2. It all depends on how it does.
