    Seedlings in Europe

Bonsaischule Enger is quite a good source of liners. I don't know their origin, seedlings or rooted cuttings, they ship them in small plastic containers, no barerooted seedlings. The list and number of species varies every season. https://bonsaischule.de/bonsai/bonsai-outdoor/jungpflanzen/...

It's time to take subtropicals inside for a winter here where I live. One that I'm pleased with is this olive, acquired in 2019, almost killed in 2020 by spring repotting, dropped all leaves, lost portions of almost all branches...the lower the picture, the newer.

    The Shohin Tree Thread

One of my BRT seedlings. Almost 3 yo, started from seed in January 2019. Will try to keep it this small. Call me the names, but this one's been grown entirely indoors for all its life.

    Ficus Triangularis

Just saying. There's a lot of similar species in a ficus family. A task for experts I guess.

    Ficus Triangularis

When you bought it as a boxwood and the leaves look smaller than those of F. triangularis...also consider Ficus buxifolia.

    Ficus WIP

The tree seems to be a bit 2D. At least from this side of view. I can say I like nebari, trunk and silhouette. But I miss some more branches in the rear and I would start growing more branches directing to the front, at least in upper third of the tree.

...you already have a mandatory yellow pot in your collection? Evening artificial light, not easy to show it's real colour. Eimei.

Pruned this one today as well. Freebie Lonicera nitida from my mom's garden, three years with me, 25 cm tall as it stands. I could have pruned deeper, but it's going to flower.
