    My JBP Neagari Projects

I have cut away the plastic water bottles from a few of my Neagari projects and cleaned out the soil to release some of the pressure inside bottles and give the roots a bit more room to grow… I tried to twist one or two around and put a bit of movement in but its not easy with long sacrifice...

    Grafting - Beginners Luck?

Hi, following on from watching Ryan Neil’s grafting YouTube video I decided to give it a go 12th April 2018: Then a few days ago I noticed some needles on the lowest graft poking through the grafting tape and also the graft joint had swelled and split the tape as well. Is this a good sign? I...

Hi, I recently acquired this JBP. I'm told by the nursery that it was from a private collection and the guy had to sell it as he could no longer look after them (Japanese import originally). The nursery has then kept it for another two years to bring it back to health and they also had to take...

So I was hoping I could get a few opinions/explanations as to why one method is better that others particularly for JBP (Pinus Thunbergii).. When you pluck needles from your JBP with tweezers (both needles at once) leaving the sheath: 1. Is there a chance of pulling the dormant bud that sits...
