Well...the little trees have had a rough couple years getting cut back more to keep em small, and its showing.

Their developement just blows as compared to the big one which has been allowed to grow more.

Not much of a surprise that even the bottom of the tall tree, which has also been allowed more life...
Is also developing better.

Dont think Its game over yet though.
Im gonna let it bush out till fathers day and get it wired onto that IKER Slab.

I'm definitely getting the hang of these trees.
I cut this one a little on August 1st...at least thats when this pic is from.20170801_105150.jpg

This is the first time I'm seeing backbuds.
Seeing..
They"ve happened before, but I never came back to the tree so soon to see where and why and when they popped.

This is going to help predictability.

I effed up trying to tweeze off brown needles and lost some key foliage.

Broke a couple branches off at the collar again and glued em up.

I asked my daughter if this looked like a real tree...
She said, "except for the wire"!
"On a scale from 1-10 how much does it look like a real tree?"
"11".
"Come on" I said, "for real..."
Pointing to the yard spruce, "it looks like one of those!"

Thank you Child!

It does look better in person, except for that wire!

Unnannealed still coated copper.
Its real fine but the thick jacket offers more protection, and it dont bend to different so I like it better.
And this will be able to be shown wireless at some point, so I dont mind it.

Anyway.

Overall I've come far enough in understanding these, topped with that Mirainspiration, to really do right by the next couple a these that find their way to my garden.
Maybe even fix the mistakes on these to get them in better order.

Thats a keyboard cover over an old picture!
Now I got a dusty ass keyboard! Lol!

Keyboard benches make nice for sitting and working on trees too!

I almost used my desktop mic stand to hold up my lighting.

@JudyB next, plant a tree in a panpot!

How else can one turn sound gear into bonsai gear!?

Lol!

I'm definitely getting the hang of these trees.

Far more patient then me on these for certain. The pile I had was doing ok for quite a few years and this past Spring I sent them off to landfill  Crystal asked why and I told her I don't have enough years left to do much with them.

Check your PM's and call me please :)

Sorry Grim! :p

Just some wire off.
Loving the low branches...but hating em too.
Hating the top branches..but waiting some too.

P.S. the unnealed coated thin is way easier to work on and off than annealed bare.

I forget how many years I kept those, did all kinds of experimenting, hardy plants if anything. Last year though I looked at them all and tossed them in a landfill bag while Crystal looked at me in disbelief... She asked why and I think I just shrugged. I guess I was just tired of them, no real reason.

Yours looks to be doing good - enjoy!

Damn. This is my Grimmy inspired thread. Rest in Peace Brother! I still got these J.Cracks!

Let em bush all of 18, it sucked, and so far this year. StilI contemplating that slab, they'll be ready this year.20190714_152920.jpg20190714_152836.jpg20190714_152825.jpg20190714_152843.jpg20190714_152814.jpg
