:) Thank you for replying, @sorce
I still need an answer on those razor slits you made.
Did you make the slits underneath the branch, perpendicular to the branch, along the branch? Perhaps depending on the direction you would like to give to the branch?

The ONE that Worked was a ficus.
About a half inch trunk..pushed over at the base, and slit on the outside of the Curve. Held with a GuyWire for A while.

It's way more a bad experiment than a good technique!

Never got around to any BOP.

I love how you can make out separation in the branching even shaggy.

Time is tickin....

To prune or not to prune....

Thinking I may just let it go and hit it hard at BIP.

This is the first time in as long as I can remember that I didn't check the moon at repot.

Stragglers.

Not too much!20180108_073427.jpg

And test fitting with traditional pot prep....
Uh....tradition doesn't always offer the most aesthetically pleasing look.

More.

Had to Untraditionlize the prep to accept a proper tie down.20180108_080109.jpg20180108_082026.jpg

Then snugging one side...

While holding the other...

Then putting the snug snug to the other wire in the same fashion. (No pic)

Shout out to my Hornets Fans!
Is that still even a team?

The bottom of that long root, as slammed on the bottom of the old basket....gave it a ....ahem....fused muscular foot where the new roots grew. Highly pleasing enough of a look to consider this a new front. Even with the work the top would need. And how ugly the roots are here.

So.....
As I grow...
I will show.

Don't have to have done....
To already know!

Excellent. I have a benjimina "too little" ive had over a rock for going on 3 years now. I think this summer will be the official repot and expose the roots. They grow quite slow compared to regular benji. I checked on the roots this past summer and they hadent grown much outside the saran thats keeping things tight around the rock, but I'm hoping with some extra humidity spring into summer it'll be ready, I'm tired of waiting, and yours has my juices flowing

Do I see two critters between the roots there?
One is black and the other is dark beige...?
Or am I wrong?

Nice job, pleasing movement, placement, and taper to those branches. On to the secondaries...

@Leo in N E Illinois (soon tag)...

3 years and week I been waiting for those LED induced BUDS!

@BVF! Finally on to the secondaries!20180125_061537_Burst01.jpg20180125_061554_HDR.jpg20180125_061626_HDR.jpg20180124_115108.jpg

I was gonna semd this to Chuck till I found them buds....gonna wait till I have a bit nicer of a canopy...

But GOD DAMN!

You see how them roots flow down perfectly into Chuck's drips!

And I paired this BEFORE I even had all them roots!

Love this Combo!

Love this ART!

What I like about this tree most is that the movement and strength of these branches, almost makes you forget it's a ficus.

Curious for A "further" on that thought...

As what I have been envisioning, or thinking I want to accomplish... Is a more ficus like branching....

I been so unhappy with that weak right side....I been feeling the moment of "fuck I'm going to have to re re re re restart this thing.." Since the left already has 2 proper forks...

Got these buds on the right Just in...(there's no such thing as) time!

Slow game!

Slow game Slow game Slow game!
