Craigslist...oh..which by the way...

Lotta top and bottom gone...
But I got some nice roots close and excess stuff gone so if it lives, it'll be quick to pot.

Plus it was on the North side of the place so it'll start getting more sun now.

I'm leaving it by my water feature for humidity, and on a west facing wall that holds night heat. That pile a rocks oughtta help too.

Thoughts...please!

I think MKE Kev called this...
"Throwing up branches"
20170507_074521.jpg

Bucktheezy!

The "reverse taper" is where the soil line was...
The lower bark is there...just seems suppressed by the mud.

It seems it will now dry and flake out...

I love this Tree!

@erb.75 how are those fattys?

I've never had a maple throw the first two leaves the same.

What is it?

I love it anyway...
And it loves me!

they're doing good! treating the maple for pseudomonas and it's pretty much better now. Will post pictures of them in leaf soon. I think the maple is actually a dwarf cultivar of some kind. looks killer!

My hornbeam is having a pretty good time, I'll probably do some initial root work next spring to get it out the heavy soil and begin some better roots, although might be even better to wait for spring 2019?

And my wild cherry which I trunk chopped and then dug around to cut through the big roots has started throwing some nice new shoots as well. I've been checking it weekly on my dog walks, ground is staying nice and moist in the woods there and it's off the trail enough it isn't getting any attention.

I collected this white mulberry about 75 yards from my home on commercial property I have access to. It had been mowed down late last summer and just had 4 or 5 splintered, bare branches sticking up. This is two days after the second flush of growth was pruned.

48 minutes and @wireme , while I don't have a shovel...
I forgot my big pitchfork.

Then...the middle tine broke off my Lil rake.

Not too bad though.
Had some boxwood for sale...but eh.

So what do you think of the Whore?
Leave it here when I move?
