a) Smoking it is still dangerous because of the smoking aspect. Beyond that (since there are other ways to ingest the THC) if people want to get high, I see no difference than alcohol or tobacco. Who knows, there could be some really redeeming medical qualities if it were to be de-stigmatized and legitimately studied. Most of our pharmaceuticals come from plants anyhow. Traditional uses of the legitimate pharmaceutical plants usually looks like the use of marijuana from the outside.
