For clarity, I never meant you should take a break from this Forum, but this Thread. We are all aware of the great contribution you make to this forum, and I would never imply you should leave. I have a great deal of respect for you, and the bonsai you have cultivated. I don't have the decades of experience in bonsai, but I do share projects here. I never intended for you to take my reply as an agressive response, only trying to keep the peace.

I predict that this thread is going to be a bad place to come and visit if you're a thin-skinned Republican... I also predict though, that this will be a short-lived blip in the American political landscape given that I don't think he'll make a full term without being impeached... we will see.

Well at least part of the thread seemed like actual debate/discussion on opinions and topics you could follow and respond to, or try to steer in a direction that made some sense using actual information.
Trying to discuss whether someone may or not be a racist based on a handful of comments is sort of pointless and detracts from the actual usefulness of discussing any of this stuff in the first place. By all means if someone calls you a liberal fanny or something, I think it's alright to question the grounds for a personal attack. To go straight back by calling them a Nazi instead of having a rational response is where it spirals into a dumb shit slinging contest that doesn't get anyone anywhere.

You're guilty of basically the same thing at practically every statement made right here, and the 'defence position and rebuking slander' is coming from the other side as well. There has been just as much slander and pointless name calling tag-ons to attack 'lefties' as there has been stupid cries of 'Nazi!' which as I said ise worthless from any angle.
Everyone is ideological to certain degrees but ideology is about what you believe and your morals and ethics which everyone has and stands for. If you don't want your ideologies to come true then it would be kind of absurd to have those goals in the first place, and I'd assume anyone from the right would want their political ideas to be a reality as well.
'Denial' is something both sides constantly accuse the other side of being in - for the most part a lot of the right incessantly deny climate change, using rehab instead of imprisonment for minor drug offences, and totally deny any evidence that immigrants are actually essential for modern first world society and pose no greater risk to natives than natives themselves.
The same goes for failing to present an argument - virtually every post in this thread which has contained citation of evidence, reports, research etc to actually back up an argument has been from 'lefites'. That isn't pseudo intellectualism, that's called making a statement and backing it up, which is logical debate. Making a statement and calling it fact without any grounds to do so isn't Pseudo intellect either, it's barely even an argument and is worthless in a debate.

Almost every one of your posts is the same rhetoric over and over again... you give me the vision of being a frightened little turtle, all scrunched up in your shell and yelling out the same non-sensical political jargon because you can't formulate a clear argument to any debate. Like a cheerleader, you've learnt your lines and are repeating them verbatim... way to go, aren't we all impressed. lol
When it comes to political issues of any kind, I can take either side of the isle when that person makes sense. For instance, I commend any leader for saying that they are going to lower taxes, create jobs, encourage business development... but I certainly would never suggest that a leader has any credibility at all when he says that he is going to build a wall and make another sovereign nation to pay for it, that all news (except the news that puts him in a good light) is fake news, that the former President wire tapped his phones, etc, etc, etc... Until this President begins to act Presidential, and can actually DO something for the citizens of the United States, I'll continue to point out his shortcomings; whether you like it of not.
IMHO, the fact that he was forced to pull his own health care bill is a clear sign to me that he has very little support amongst his own party, because he (the party) controls the House and the Senate, it should have passed as quickly as a fart after a bean sandwich. I also think (like I stated the other day) that this is a clear sign that his own party isn't going to allow him to get out of control, and if they have to, they will ask for help from the other side to shut him down on all fronts, so Americans as a whole can relax a little and be reassured that the "system" is going to prevent him from doing anything really outrageous.
The fact that I am not an American has nothing to do with my point of view... I'm entitled to it, and until the web site becomes an "American only" site, I don't see any signs telling me that I can't express my views. I've said this before and I'll say it again, B'nut can delete my membership any time he likes (and I've asked him to), and it wouldn't make any difference to me one way or the other.
Lastly, I think, if most of the posters here read the things that I've said with an open and honest mind, they would say that I have a pretty balanced view of what's happening, what might happen, and how it might all come about (not that they would agree with me on all points, but they would say that I am clearly unbiased)... I don't think they would say the same about the series of repeated one-liners that you've posted. You have an opportunity to see the world and your own country from a new set of eyes and you're so afraid of what you might see that you have to shout it down because to listen and use some critical thinking might take a bit of effort on your part... plus, you might see it in a totally different light, like this: http://www.usdebtclock.org

Here is a debate that everyone on this thread should be able to get into.
Trump wants to get Americans working again, but the unemployment rate is 4.9%. The general consensus amongst business analysts and economist (In this country anyway), is that an unemployment rate between 8 and 10% is the healthiest for any free-world economy. Basically, it boils down to employers having a pool of "qualified" workers to choose from, and having a higher unemployment rate keeps wage inflation from setting in. An unemployment rate at 4.0% means that employers have to hire unqualified people to fill jobs, that my only be a $15.00/hr job, but are forced to pay $17.00/hr to fill that position. As well, wage inflation entices qualified workers from leaving their present job and getting a higher paying job across the street provided that the increase is high enough... in this country .50/hr. is enough to get people to move... and many companies will readily "raid" workers from competitors.
