How much to just see the trees? I might be in NC just down the road an hour by then. But I won't be showing anything. Maybe buying.

Thought I would bump this event...

I will be vending, as well... I have a Tree that has been Accepted for the exhibition.

Hopefully others here have submitted trees for review. If you haven't done so yet and are considering it... I would do so ASAP. Not sure when the cut off date is, but it has to be getting close.

Looking forward to the event!

I feel so unhappy each and every time I read announcements of such great events which I will never be in a position to visit, I fear...
@sawgrass & @Adair M It would be great if B-Nut members participating, post photos with their trees here (after the event of course) for the rest of us to see

I'm being sent to Vegas on the 25th, so I'm trying to determine if I'll be able to make it. The day I found out I'm being sent to Vegas was the day I was going to register.

The vendor room will only be open on Saturday and Sunday. Registrants can visit the vendors on Friday evening. We are reaching our capacity for the US Shohin Bonsai Exhibition, so its time to register now if you want to watch all the demonstrations and critique.

I shouldn't be jealous because we certainly have a large bonsai scene here on the West Coast, but I would love to go to this show!

is registration required for entry and viewing - or only for demos, dinners etc. ?

im hoping that several coworkers will attend to promote interest, but the site seems to suggest that registration is required. im sure that would deter newbies/amateurs from attending.

Registration is required to go into the demonstration room. People are welcome to come see the bonsai and visit the vendors, no charge. Hope you can make it. The demonstrations and lectures are quite unique all concentrated on shohin bonsai. We have many of the leading shohin bonsai artists from around the country.

Oh I definitely misunderstood that the first time then! Thanks for clarifying- I thought it was for the whole event, not just the demos.

thanks for clarifying - while the lectures etc might appeal to some on this forum, many newcomers being exposed to bonsai for the first time might just stay home if viewing wasnt free.
