Tribute to Alda Clijsters and her bonsai collection

Special line up of bonsai by Nippon Bonsai Sakka Kyookai Europe

Special line up of private trees of Danny Use

Creation of bonsai pots by the Triskele group

13.00-17.00: DEMO

I'm in for a long weekend in Genk! 1st timer coming over from the UK. Can't wait for some incredible bonsai, hopefully also pot shopping and trappist beers!

Interesting Ryan Neil is coming over as he does almost no travel and demo-style teaching these days right? Love the line-up including @leatherback

Danny Use is my hero. A monument and beacon of knowledge he is.

so its my work weekend ...... but gues what !
i got the whole weekend off!
now i gotta think if i go saturday or sunday or maybe book a hotel or something to sleep and go saturday and sunday haha
who else are going ?
i know we did a small bnut meeting in front of the bonsai empire stand couple years ago

ah yeah last time i slept at a oostappen park 15-20 min drive away from the venue ill check but if only one day i guess i go on saturday

Yep, both days!

Not only will I be there, but some pots from my humble collection were accepted to the exhibition as well!

I want to go but need to break it to my wife...

It's smaller than the place we live in and she hates driving...so two hours in the car for that is NOT going to cut it.

Then leave her at home and send her shopping.

Seriously, though, my wife and I decide on an entertainment budget, and we each get half to spend however we'd like. I have no reason to police her interests, nor she mine.

But if she hates driving than that will not be worth the additional hour .

And to be fair.. My wife and I long ago decided that we both have more fun if we do not try to do our hobby things together..

My husband has zero interest in bonsai normally, but had a surprisingly good day last year at the Trophy ( so much so that he has no issue to come again with me this year ) .
