Field maple that I bought as a one gallon pot from Evergreengardenworks. It was little over 1/2 inch when I got it, now it 4 inches at the base. It's in a healthy shape, but I cannot provide enough sun, and I wish to give it to someone who can take care of it better. Pickup only in Montgomery...

Here's my elm with all the leaves gone. Will need some branch cleanup in the Spring. It's been slowly losing cork bark no matter how much I try to keep the trunk dry with careful watering, and it's almost all gone now :(

Is it easy enough to perform for a newbie like me?

This field maple stump with very little roots survived and grew many branches, although it didn't grow as much as I hoped. I was hoping I would get some branches at the long empty section at the top (arrow). Maybe if I cut back on the top next year, it may back bud? Hope to clean the lower...

50% clearance from local Home Depot garden center. Initial plan is to wait until spring then repot and shape the tree.

Local Home Depot is having clearance on trees/shrubs. Picked up a Pieris japonica with about 2 inch base. If it survives until the spring, I could move it to training pot and get rid of the straight and thick branches.

My little elm tree refuses to change the color :) Put on decent amounts of branches and the lower branches were grown out to hopefully add some girth to the lower trunk.

My Yatsubusa Elm got a good haircut after all the leaves hardened. Shortened the tree about 1/3, where it was a just a straight branch growing upwards.

The field maple stump I pulled and fitted into 12 inch bulb pan is leafing out. Hopefully it regains energy this year and develops some branches to use.

My Yatsubusa elm leafing out much earlier then last year. The plan is to get some better branching, reduce the top, and grow out the lower branch (arrow).
