I have an old maple tree, and it doesn’t want to bud back. I already pruned back the foliage, but it’s still not budding back to the old wood. Should I try to make a tall bonsai or is there a solution?
No back budding is a pretty bad issue, would increase nitrogen so it pushes leaves harder... Id also think about putting it into the ground so it can push hard growth for a year or two
