Hawthorns
very nice selection of hawthorns! I have collected a few myself here in Oregon but have had mixed results in there health, would love to know the details of your collection process and aftercare with these.
 
Don't laugh. Most of these were collected on Fort Lewis after they were hit by military vehicles or mowing crews. I collected them all in winter and bare rooted them. After bud burst I fertilized the hell out of them all season. This photo was taken in May. They all regained vigor and are quite healthy now. I will post more pics of each.
 
yes they appear quite happy in the photo,
out of curiosity how many roots where left on them when they were collected?
In the area where I collect alot of the hawthorns seem to have termite damage I'm wondering if that's the reason for their poor health and recovery?
