Brent Waltston at Evergreengardenworks.com will have the best seju elms on the West coast. Big fat trunks with great movement, thick gnarly bark and perfect taper.

What are you baseing this on? The web site describes a plant that can be bought in 2 3/8 pots (liner pots) for 8 bucks.

Where are the "Big fat trunks with great movement, thick gnarly bark and perfect taper? Those are the one I want to see. Any time some one describes something as the "best on the west coast" I gotta challange that.

Brent where are the pictures? If you have what Jason describes show a few pictures here and I would buy one right away.

Just what the doctor ordered, Al

Al,

I've been to Brent's place (granted, a few years back), and I can confirm that he has some of the best mature stock in California. Unfortunately, none of us were ever successful at getting him to post pics of the great stuff on his website.

More unfortunate is Brent's recent battle with cancer. Check his blog here

Here's wishing Brent all the best.

Jason has posted pictures of his work on one of my Seiju elms. Ordinarily, I only send photos upon request from customers. This winter I hope to post a number of them on my blog but I want to want to wait for leaf drop to reveal the trunks better (two to three weeks).

All this depends on my Chemotherapy treatment which is currently taking a toll. I have very little energy to do much that get orders out. I have four more weeks to go and hopefully by Thanksgiving, I will start feeling human again. I have another surgery in December, but then that's it, the long road to recovery and healing from there.
