I’ve had this tree for several years, but never got around to starting a progression thread for it. I’ve also neglected to take pictures of it before. Here it is in spring 2024.


I started this a few years back, after taking a root over rock workshop with Pauline Muth. The rock here is petrified wood, obtained from a local pet store.

Repotted it today. It slipped off the rock and I had a difficult time finding the right position to get it back on the rock, but I think it’s pretty close to it now. Removed all of the rubber electrical tape that was originally used to attach it to the rock. Replaced with just a bit of twine that will naturally rot away in time.
