Hi Mile High, this was my first and it is pretty easy to grow, so far. Camelias are grown here every where in the landscape. I have it potted in 80% lava/pumice and 20% pine bark. If it looks like freezing temps for a couple of days, I set it on the ground, the roots are not real woody.

Finally showing some fall color. One side seems to be further along than the other.

Looks more like sun scorch or a fungus than chlorisis. You can add a little ironite for chlorisis and they will green up, if that is what it is.

That branch is quite long and will be cut back in the fall or maybe removed. This was the first wiring since I got the tree from @Vin and it will need a lot more. I was just trying to establish some structure. I has a long way to go.

About a year or so ago, @Vin gave me this awesome trident. It grew very well this year and I am fixing to give it trim and some wire

Update:

I think they were in the tubs for couple of years. Probably could have moved the sooner, but I did not have the pots. They could be pruned all summer, I don't have the time right now so Sping and late Summer/ Fall. Our club usually has a showds them, so it is usually to get them ready for that.

For Carol83: Several years ago, Carrol sent this sarsuki to me. It has the tiniest flowers and leaves. This year it has two shades of flowers, light pink and purplish pink. I think this one is my favorite.
