Most of the ones I linked have developed a decent stockpile of content. Some haven't produced anything in the last few months, though. At the moment, the most prolific channels are:

Bjorn https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMIZqKAtSetjReDVLvBV0tA
Iligan https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNHu-EKH4SYwl6WJr_g2JnQ
Nigel Saunders https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxWc7cn-M-22gie8oPslLcA
Bonsai Focus https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChNsa67GAeTxQeQdjyfELww
Bonsai Empire https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCph2EzXae_RcWX4tPdoOiWQ
MikBonsai https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFTMp8_1xFF2V-7bcrJvyaA

They are all posting monthly or better, on average.

FWIW, IRL bonsai and bonsai community are what need to be built.

You simply can't learn much practical bonsai by watching videos on the Internet. Sorry. Bonsai is a hands-on deal period. Without actually DOING it, you can't actually DO it, or do it very well. In person learning, even with an intermediate-level person, can teach you 100 percent more than a video online ever will. Trust me. That video you saw about the root pruning isn't going to really match up with the tangled mess of roots on a different species in front of you. In other words, bonsai is about details. You can't see that detail, even in HD without buffering, online.

Don't know why your are being so critical. I simply am asking why people do not want to share their trees with each other via the internet. Ask questions like "Do you think I should remove this branch and try to turn this into the new apex?" Ext. The only club around me is 2 hours away and only meets 3 times a year. Also you have sent 3500 messages on this forum that's a lot of time dedicated to the internet.... I've sent 3 so i find it quiet rude the way that you greet a new person. Also you yourself said that there is a lot of misinformation, All I want to do is find like minded people who are passionate about caring for trees. and are excited to share them with each other man. I'm not looking for tutorials. I'm looking to share experiences that is all.

And about Bonsai being hands on I agree 100%. And again going back to what i just said it would be nice to have someone say "Yeah you can cut that branch and train the other branch to be the new apex.". Instead of just cutting it and praying that you did not make a massive design flaw.
Anyways to conclude my point is just that I thought it would be fun to get involved in a community of like minded people here.
Sorry if my grammar is not perfect but really come on man that was rude. We all just want healthy trees and good designs here.

Thank you MichaelJ for sharing those channels with me too!
Hope to get some help on my trees from here in the future.
Have a great day!

The "cut that branch" thought is nice, but in reality accepting design advice over the internet CAN wind up screwing up a tree, turning a questionable problem into a huge design issue. The same can be true about in-person advice, too.

However, if you're working with someone who's been doing bonsai for a while, you most likely have seen their trees in person...Not true on the Internet. You have no idea who you're talking to or what their capabilities are. I've seen people take really, REALLY bad advice from people online who have absolutely no idea what they're doing. If this is your only option, be extremely selective...

I don't really amass pics of my work, or videos here. I leave that to Facebook where I can control access. If you do a search on my name here, you'll come up with stuff, though.

Beyond the good points that Rockm makes about learning in person...the YouTube community in general leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been posting on youtube for about 6 years....approaching 2 million views, 180+ videos and more than 3k subscribers...and let me tell you that youtube is a one way street! If you post and folks think you have a clue about what you are doing, you get bombarded with beginner level questions....most coming with the attitude that you owe them advice! Even when the video clearly explains the process they still ask stupid questions...I'm sorry but it is true!

Or they want to just come along and criticize everything because that is their right since "you" posted something publicly? 99% of the time they have not posted any of there work anywhere for public criticism. I call these folks internet masters....there are a few here as well!

Quite frankly it is a bunch of bullshit if you ask me....When, and if, I upload now I almost always disable comments...

Please dont get me wrong....there are some truly appreciative folks out there....and even one that was amazingly appreciative that i will always be thankful for meeting and developing a friendship! But, overall, it is a one way "community" that will suck you dry!

But we DO. Here, and on the Internet Bonsai Club, on the Bonsai Study Group. Methinks you are yipping before you've don't any looking. We've done it for 10 or 20 years.

But Nothing -- NOTHING -- beats seeing, and touching, and studying a tree in real living color LIFE. The advice we give newcomers is as often met with argument as with thanks.

No doubt.

2 million views is impressive though. Have you monetized the channel yet? That's enough eyeballs to make money.

You are right I did not do any digging, I went straight to talking I prefer to talk to others and find my way to things like you are talking about an online bonsai club is pretty much what I was implying creating. for people to bounce ideas ext.
And about the in person thing, I have about 10 tree's of my own atm that I work on. But can't find anyone in my area to mentor under. Which leaves me to make alot of calls I'm not to sure about. I've already killed 2 trees from pruning *in the wrong season out of excitement! Won't be doing that again!

PS. There is a bonsai club on this website? maybe I'm not looking hard enough because I am so into that idea!
