Deciduous Tree Styling

Using 5 gallon sized Catlin Elms we will guide you step by step through the creation of a deciduous bonsai. Class will cover choosing the front, primary branch selection, developing ramification and the all important first major work on the root system.
Includes 5 gallon Catlin Elm, wire, soil, use of tools and training pot.
Maximum 10 participants. Cost is only 80.00
Juniper and Kingsville Saikei
Saturday March 14, 2015 9am until 12:30pm
This will be a fun class and is the closest you'll get to instant bonsai. Using 3 10 year old Kingsville Boxwoods (dwarf slow growing ) and 2 1 gallon Procumbins Junipers as well as a variety of rocks and groundcovers each student will be guided through the creation of a living landscape scene.
Includes 3 Kingsville Boxwoods, 2 Junipers, shallow pot, ground cover plants, soil, wire and use of tools. Limited to 6 students so sure to sell out quickly. Cost is 150.00
Olive Styling
Saturday May 17, 2014 9am until 12:30pm
Using partially trained 2 gallon or raw stock 5 gallon sized little leafed Olives we will go step by step through the creation of a shohin (small) or chuchin (med) olive bonsai. We will cover chosing the front, branch selection, wiring and potting into training pots. Workshop includes tree, wire, soil, use of tools and training pot. Maximum 10 participants. Cost is only 85.00
Ficus Styling
Saturday, June 7, 2014 9am until 12:30pm
Using 5 gallon Narrow leaf Ficus we will go through the basics of styling and potting into a training pot one of the favorite Ficus for bonsai. Most trees will be in the banyan or umbrella shaped styles.
Includes 5 gallon Ficus nerifola, wire, soil, and plastic training pot. Maximum 10 participants. Cost is only 80.00
Workshops fill early so sign up now to insure spot.
Private workshops can be organized for groups of 5 or more call nursery for details.
